ADR + Foley For American Graffiti Scene Re-Creation

A few months back we filmed a re-creation of the drag race scenes from the movie "American Graffiti" for Cruisin' The Boulevard Inc. It was all shot at the original filming locations around Petaluma.

  • Paradise Road (Frates Road)

We have been editing the piece over the past few months and have finally finished putting an assembly together. Now it was time to start doing ADR for the actors voices, since there was no usable on-location sound due to the loud cars, bar patrons whooping and hollering, etc.

We also recorded some Foley sound effects from vintage cars, that will be used to fill out the sound mix for the final product, such as engine noises and other "natural" sounds from the scenes.

Here are some photos from that day of recording.
